Woodstock, The Colony Of The Arts, lives up to its name in more ways than one this week. The 13th annual Woodstock Film Festival is in full effect. Every year when it commences one wonders, how will they able to top this next year? Don’t you worry, it just gets better and better.
Woodstock really shines when everyone comes together and collaborates and takes pride and joy in what each individual contributes to the community.
We are always excited about the unveiling of the art affiliated with the event. Just a few weeks ago, the official poster of the Woodstock film festival was unveiled. “Eye of the World” by Bill Miller. What is so incredible about this piece is that it is created out of vintage/recycled linoleum.
All Eyes will indeed be on the silver screen this week watching films, going to parties and meeting filmmakers and other creatives. On Friday October 12 from 6-9PM at the VARGA Gallery come meet Bill Miller in person and see his solo show of extraordinary pieces. Bill has also contributed a few pieces to PURUSA and the show/concert that will also be held simultaneously and catered by Food Network Chopped Champion, Ric Orlando.
Miller adds, “I hope my interpretation of this area as both a cultural center of gravity and a place of natural beauty resonates with people who see it.”
