Just North of Woodstock, is the wonderful city of Hudson, NY. Hudson, lively and friendly, day and night. Nineteen art galleries, vibrant music and performance venues, gourmet and casual restaurants, forty-five antique stores, and more, make “upstate’s downtown” the perfect destination.
A delight to explore, Hudson’s business district, Warren Street is the main artery of the city, with nine walkable blocks of preserved Federalist to Victorian architecture, much of it in the National Register of Historic Places. Hudson, like many towns that had big industry, has transformed old barren brick warehouses into stunning venues for musicians and artists to play – there is no better example than, Club Helsinki, the premier venue not just for Hudson but in New York State.
From August 10th – August 12th the streets, galleries and parks will be filled with music for the Hudson MusicFest. Starting in the morning and going through the evening over 100+ musicians in 25+ venues will be performing.
Our very own, Kirsten DeHaan, will be playing on Saturday August 11th at Club Helsinki 6:00PM.
Between the Berkshires and the Catskills in beautiful Columbia County, Hudson has its own Amtrak station, two hours north of New York City, three hours from Boston, making it easily accessible and a perfect getaway for music lovers.
