Woodstock Wednesdays – Maverick Concerts

by SirLady on July 4, 2012

We all know that Woodstock is synonymous with music, but not just in the genre of Rock.  In fact, Woodstock is the home to America’s oldest continuous outdoor summer chamber music, The Maverick.

Right in the middle of the woods is a rustic concert hall built in 1916 with stunning acoustics.  The best of the best have performed at Maverick and this season is no exception; a homage to the composers of France, “Tour De France”.  Highlighted by the 150th anniversary of the birth of Claude Debussy and the 75th anniversary of the death of Maurice Ravel.

Long Live The Maverick!
