Woodstock Wednesdays – Radio Woodstock 100.1 WDST

by SirLady on August 29, 2012

Its has been two weeks since we left Woodstock to come down here to Nashville.  It will be another two weeks before we make the journey back home.  Being a little homesick from time to time, there is nothing better than listening to our favorite hometown station over the internet, WDST.  For our readers that do not live in the Hudson Valley, log on and take a listen – you will not be disappointed!

(Weekday Schedule)

Gregg Gattine who is at the helm for the morning show  5:30AM -10:00AM.  Gattine is witty and informative about goings-on in and around the area and of course serves up the right mix of beats that early in the AM. Wed Mornings Patrick Carlin (George’s older/wiser bro) joins in and John Barry from Poughkeepsie Journal talking about the scene in the Hudson Valley and what is worth catching live.

Carmel Holt comes on at 10:00 – 3:00pm for the mid morning to afternoon shift.  Holt’s knowledge of the music scene and her creative programing has won her numerous awards in radio.  Lunch Lounge is a fun way to get through the lunch hour.  It is by request and Holt comes up with a theme each day to abide by…. Get your request in, starting at noon, by calling (845)-679-WDST  or on Facebook.

Jimmy Buff  finishes our work day from 3:00-7:00pm.  We just are hypnotized by Buff’s soothing voice and easy going on-air personality .  ”Live at Five” is a special treat when they spin a live version of a great track.

SirLady also wants to give a BIG special shout out to one of our former fabulous interns, Aja Whitney, who is now a Host on the station.  By the sounds of things, looks like the future will treat her very, very well.

Well Done Aja, we are so proud of ya!

Keep Rockin’!

Insider Tips:  Weekends are a good time on WDST too – Saturday morning acoustic breakfast is worth waking up for at 7:00 AM .  And you know how we feel about Sundays at ‘DST…..
